St Patrick's Street Is Getting More Trees, Seating & Less Clutter 🌿

Cork City Council is rolling out a pilot scheme to revamp St. Patrick's Street, and it sounds like a breath of fresh air! The plan is to give the street a green makeover — more trees, shrubs, new seating, and a general declutter of old street furniture that's been clogging up the plaza for years. Bus stops are shifting slightly to open up more pedestrian space.

Funded by the National Transport Authority, it aims to make the city centre more attractive and accessible for pedestrians, encouraging more time spent exploring and relaxing. (Read More)

Dog of the Week: Meet Bonnie! 🐾

Bonnie looks like she’s just won the lotto, but life hasn’t always been so kind to this little lady. She arrived at the CSPCA emaciated and suffering from painful mange, and as a result she’s still very sensitive about being touched. Bonnie is looking for a patient, dog-savvy home that will give her the time and understanding she needs to settle in.

If you’re interested in adopting Bonnie, please apply via the CSPCA website.
