Marina Park's Stunning New Tree Walkway is Open! 🌳

Big news for Cork walkers, joggers, and Sunday strollers - the new section of Marina Park is open! This part of Phase 2 comes with a gorgeous elevated tree walkway (yes, you’re literally walking up in the trees), winding woodland paths, and even a freshly spruced-up Barrington’s Folly.

Between this and Holland Park’s playground that opened in the summer, the Docklands are really starting to shine. And we’re not done yet - Atlantic Pond will be unveiled in November, making the whole park six times the size of Fitzgerald’s Park. Not bad for a city stroll, eh?

Pop down, stretch your legs, and check it out for yourself! (Read more)

Emergency access will stay open and diversions will be signposted. Over in College Road, crews are starting a flushing programme to tackle those annoying discolouration issues, with nearby streets like Donovans Road and O’Donovan Rossa Road also due some attention over the next month. The investment is part of a broader €20m investment aimed at improving our city's pavements and revitalising the city centre. So if you’ve been dodging cracks and puddles, help is on the way!
