Cork Luas Preferred Route To Be Revealed Next Week 🚋
The preferred route for the €1bn+ Cork Luas project will be revealed on Friday, April 17th, kicking off another round of public consultation. This new plan is expected to address concerns raised about the earlier version, including a 2km extension to the west, a rerouting behind CUH in Bishopstown to ease traffic flow, and some minor adjustments in Ballinlough. The proposed 18km line aims to connect Ballincollig to Mahon Point, serving key locations like MTU, UCC, and the Docklands with 25 stops.
It’s your chance to have your say before the final design is locked in for a railway order application. Keep your eyes peeled for the new consultation website, luascork.ie. (Read More)

Cork Rakes in the Lotto Luck Over Easter! 💰
Cork is officially the luckiest spot in Ireland after Easter weekend! We've welcomed not one, but two Lotto millionaires. A Daily Million player scooped €1 million on Sunday, while another Cork resident nabbed €1,005,000 from the EuroMillions raffle earlier in the week, purchased at the Marina XL filling station. The National Lottery is reminding everyone to play responsibly, but we're still cheering for our lucky neighbours! (Read More)

Dog of the Week: Meet Jackfruit! 🐾

We regret to inform you that you’ve just fallen in love with a dog named Jackfruit. I mean… come on!
Jackfruit, 3–4-year-old rough-haired terrier, has lived with other dogs before, so he may be open to sharing his space again (pending a proper introduction, of course). He’s the kind of dog who’ll thrive with a bit of routine and care.
If you’re interested in adopting Jackfruit, please email [email protected] for an application form, or you can apply via the adoption application form on their website at the end of Jackfruit’s profile.
