Cork’s North Docks Get the Green Light for a Major Transformation 🚢
Exciting changes ahead for Cork’s waterfront! The Cork North Docks Public Realm and Transport Infrastructure Project has officially been approved - and it promises to turn the area into a world-class riverside destination.
The plan involves moving the N8 (Horgan’s Road) away from the water, making space for a sweeping new promenade lined with parks, playgrounds, trees, and cycle paths.
The project will also include new public seating, bus stop upgrades, and water-drinking fountains, all designed to make the area more walkable, greener, and welcoming. Once complete, the North Docks will no longer just be a route into town - it’ll be a place to hang out, meet friends, and enjoy one of the best views in the city! (Read more)

Dog of the Week: Meet Harmony! 🐾

Meet Harmony - a four-year-old Springer Spaniel with enough energy to power all of Cork. She’s the kind of dog who turns a walk into an adventure and a tennis ball into treasure. Playful, friendly, and bursting with confidence, Harmony is looking for her forever family.
She’s microchipped, spayed, and completely ready to roll. Like many Springers, she needs a home that understands the needs of a working breed: that means plenty of activity, enrichment, and a fenced-in garden where she can unleash her zoomies. She loves other dogs, but it’s unknown how she is with cats.
If you’re interested in adopting Harmony, please email [email protected] for an application form, or you can apply via the adoption application form on their website at the end of Harmony’s profile.
