Cork City Council and the Land Development Agency (LDA) have teamed up for a major new project that would see 147 new apartments built right in the city centre at Anglesea Terrace.

The plans include a mix of one- and two-bedroom homes, along with space for a café, shops and places to grab a bite. Buildings will range from two storeys up to 16 storeys high, which would give the Docklands a fresh new architectural lift too.

Being right beside public transport and within a short stroll of the city centre means residents could enjoy all the perks of city life without the commute

Some changes incoming on your stroll into town! The new Parnell Plaza development has kicked off, meaning pedestrians will be routed around the construction area from next week. The Council says traffic shouldn’t be affected but cyclists will need to dismount while passing through the temporary layout.

The project will completely transform the South Mall/Parnell Bridge corner into a lively public space by end of 2026 - think seating, greenery, and a much nicer arrival into the city. So expect a few detours along the way… but hey, a nicer Cork is worth a couple of extra steps, right? (Read more)

It’s the end of an era in Kinsale - The Supper Club has closed after a decade at the heart of the town’s food scene. Owners Tom and Gráinne Kay announced the news with big gratitude for everyone who kept the doors open through the highs, the lows, and the pandemic in between. The Supper Club earned its place among Ireland’s Top 100 Restaurants, and will be remembered for great food, great drinks, and a great buzz. (Read More)
